A spokesman for Democracy and Founding Father to America, was Thomas Jefferson. He was born on April 13, 1743 in Shadwell, Goochland County, Virginia. He was the Author of the Declaration of Independence and the 3rd President of United States. He served in Continental Congress and also as Governor of Virginia in the Wartime. After the war, he served as a diplomat (in Paris). He also became the USA Minister to France in 1785. He was also the first US Secretary of State and served under George Washington. Peter Jefferson and Jane Randolph were his parents. His father was a planter and surveyor, and his mother was a ship’s captain. They married in 1739. His father died in 1757. At 16, he started his college at College of William & Mary in Williamsburg. He was so much interested in the book and in fact his family library contained 200 volume.
